CNC Machinist
GN Thermoforming Equipment is an internationally recognized manufacturer of quality machinery and tooling for the plastics industry, presently exporting to over 70 countries. We are located 40 minutes south of the City of Halifax in the picturesque seaside community of Chester, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia. www.gncanada.com.

We are growing and have an immediate opening for a CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC machines, with flexibility to perform other Machine Shop related tasks.
To be an ideal candidate, you will have the following skills and attributes:
- Graduate of the NSCC Machinist program or equivalent
- 3 years machining experience (conventional and CNC operation)
- Ability to load & run programs, set up tooling and machine parts as per drawing specifications
- Familiarity with Smartcam or Mastercam programming
- Experience operating a CNC turning center would be an asset
- Ability to read & accurately follow drawings and schematics (GD&T knowledge)
- Demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude and be willing to cross-train and work in multiple areas of production
- Have a positive, can do attitude
- Like to work as part of a team
- Be results oriented
- Pay attention to detail and take pride in doing quality work
- Have a demonstrated commitment to safety, quality & continuous improvement in a lean manufacturing environment
