GN Thermoforming Equipment Announces Changes in Top Management
CHESTER, NOVA SCOTIA, June 2019 – GN Thermoforming Equipment, a leading manufacturer of servo-driven, roll-fed thermoforming machines for the production of plastic packaging, announced today the appointment of Jerome Romkey as the company’s new President. The company also announced the appointment of Paul Phillips as their new sales and marketing manager.

Romkey, a Nova Scotia native and a 39-year company veteran, has served in many managerial and technical roles over the years and has been a key contributor to the company’s steady success. “I am honored and excited to lead GN, which has tremendous potential for higher growth and profitability,” said Romkey. “I look forward to capitalizing on the company’s unique machine portfolio, exceptional talent, reputation for high quality and technical expertise to execute our growth strategy.”

Romkey started his career with GN in 1980 when the company was founded with just six employees. He worked in many senior leadership roles including technical manager, engineering manager, business development manager, and VP of sales & marketing. He has played a leading role in the company’s growth and evolution as a customer-driven organization that provides complete solutions. “GN’s attention to detail and commitment to service has ensured lasting quality and satisfaction from our customers,” said Romkey.

GN has installed more than 1500 thermoformers and the company has exported its equipment to more than 70 countries worldwide. The list is growing and Romkey is excited with the appointment of Paul Phillips who will lead GN’s Sales & Marketing efforts. “Paul is an experienced sales executive who brings extensive international experience to GN”, said Romkey.  “He has expertise selling complex capital equipment and a proven track record of helping companies grow.”

A Nova Scotia native, Phillips has over 15 years of sales management experience in various leadership roles with companies in the marine, ocean sciences, defense and medical device fields.

In his previous employment, he was the global business development manager for BioMedica Diagnostics Inc. and for the previous five years, he was the general sales manager with Hawboldt Industries.
